The cineole-rich eucalyptus oils are widely used in medicine for inhalations, soaps, gargles and lozenges. Eucalyptus oil has also been used to relieve insect bites and muscular aches and pain; it is effective as an insect repellent and is used to treat burns, blisters, cuts and wounds.
