Description

Certified Organic Apricot Kernel Oil is a highly nourishing carrier oil. Easily absorbed by the skin, it softens and heals, and is especially effective on aging and sensitive skin. It is recommended for facials due to its healing and soothing properties. Due to the fact that Apricots belong to the same family of drupes as Almonds, it is comparable to Almond Oil in texture.

Traditional Uses and Lore:

Apricot kernel oil was used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat swelling, tumors and ulcers. Apricot kernel was also used by the Ayurveda approach to treatment to boost overall immune health. India was the first place where apricots were first cultivated, beginning before 3000 B.C.

How to use it

Topical Application (for use on the skin):

    • Apricot kernel oil can be massaged in at 100% strength but normally it is used in a 10%-50% dilution.
