A SCENTSATIONAL STORY - HISTORY OF AMRITA

Out of a desire to offer ‘naturally the purest’ high-quality, therapeutic-grade essential oils, Amrita Aromatherapy, was born. Founded by Dr. Christoph Streicher, Amrita was envisioned to be a trustworthy source of aromatherapy products, to serve a market where most essential oils were in some way were either not pure or had some other quality problems.

Amrita Aromatherapy has been supplying essential oils and aromatherapy products, for the past 30 years and offers the largest selection of organic essential oils in the US! From its beginning Amrita offered special therapeutic oils which at that time were not available in the US like, Inula, Amni Visnaga, Helichrysum Italicum, car. Serotinum. In 2001, Amrita became the first essential oil company in the United States to be certified, as a company, to carry certified organic essential oils. Amrita has always worked with organic farmers whenever possible.

Remaining true to being naturally the purest, Amrita Aromatherapy uses Gas Chromatography to test the purity of its essential oils, knowing essential oils are often adulterated because most are produced for the flavor or fragrance industry.In 1998, Dr. Sreicher teamed up with Dr. Lilli Botchis, intentionally acclaimed herbalist, to create the unique TriEssence Power Blends, which consisted of unique therapeutic formulations combining the therapeutic effects of flower essences, herbs and essential oils.

Dr. Christoph Streicher’s deep knowledge of aromatherapy, biochemistry and Ayurveda allows him to carefully oversee the selection of each supplier, this close supervision by a world renowned aromatherapist and his use of gas chromatography to test the purity of each essential oil, ensures that only the highest quality products are produced and sold at Amrita.
